Trovants

I saw a dilapidated train car docked at the end of the platform like a mythical beast seeking refuge in the deep darkness. Its peeling paint revealed layers of ancient times, and on its windows, a silvery dust gleamed, like the ashes of a star that had just extinguished, as if it had come into being on its own to carry a mysterious secret.

As I approached, its door emitted a sound like a cautious gasp, as if it were waking up to a new passenger. No sooner had I stepped onto its threshold than a strong light erupted and it suddenly moved, and the world outside the windows receded as if pages were being pulled from between the covers of a book!
